In addition to the aluminum monocoque body and frame structure, lightweight materials are used extensively throughout the rest of the Insight's body, including an aluminum alloy hood and doors, special lightweight plastics in the front and rear bumper fascias, front fenders, front door sills, rear aerodynamic fender skirts and rear undertray.
